Recently, Joey Santiago and David Lovering of the legendary group The Pixies collaborated with iconic producer and recording engineer Eddie Kramer on a side project they dubbed The Everybody. This unique collaboration is an eclectic instrumental rock project with unorthodox song structures, syncopated rhythms, and sonic experimentation that still manages to remain accessible and catchy. Upon the release of their album, Stationary Odyssey was asked to take one of the tracks and modify it by either re-arranging, remixing, or disassembling it. The result is “Demon Oar”, a song that takes inspiration from the original track “Marooned” as well as ambient soundscapes, movie scores, and traditional rock.

This white vinyl 7” record contains the song “Marooned” by The Everybody and it's modified counterpart “Demon Oar” by Stationary Odyssey. Driven by a desire to make this single unique, it is packaged in a limited edition, hand-crafted wooden case screen printed by Ryan Grisham of Mock Orange. On the inside, the record is protected by a layer of soft felt. The choice of materials and colors is inspired by the “lost at sea” feel of the song's titles.
