| They're used so often it's hard to miss them. What do you guys think about them?
I usually don't mind them, as long as their relative to the music. I like how LDOH has gore samples, and how GUT has porn samples. I hate it when bands (mostly death metal, but I've also seen it in some grind) will use samples that don't have anything to do with the shit, i.e. goregrind bands using South Park/Family Guy clips. It's also annoying when half of the entire audio on a CD is just samples. Using quick samples is cool with me, but it really gets annoying trying to listen to some good shit but having to wait past 45 seconds of movie clips to hear a 17 second long song.

| It's been this way for a long time, back when Grind/Gore/Noise started. Look at Robert Deathrage & the long porn samples of the MeatShits. I have no qualm with long intros as long as they're remotely entertaining. I def. think that there isn't enough obscure audio clips for samples being used, i.e. "South Park/Family Guy". Anyway, we have learned to look past those little annoyances & manage to get into a lot of the bands that do such things, I hardly think it's worthy of getting bent out of shape over. As long as there is plenty of Noise to keep us going between the long/drawn out samples, I don't think this is something that will change in the future, with the exception of Enemaetic, where samples are used throughout & most of the time during the entire tracks - DEFINITELY CHECK OUT THAT BAND....THEY ARE SICK, LOL!!!! | |

| Things that annoy me:
If the sample is longer than the song There is a sample at the beginning of every song The samples are boring The sample is just moaning or screaming You cant understand a word of the sample Its a sample that has been used a million times already
I have thrown cds away for abusing the above listed. Seriously i want to hear your music. Poor sample usage just detracts more than it enhances.

Haha, same here. One of the reasons it's hard to listen to any pornogrind on my PC around family. A quick moan or something followed by grind isn't too bad, but it's hard to tell people I'm not over here fapping away to some porn when all they hear is some bitch moaning and screaming something along the lines of "fuck me asshole" for 3 full minutes, haha.

Spot on. Not that they're grind or anything, but listening to stuff like old school Amputated used to be sick, and the samples were funny. Now it's like, what's the point? Samples are fine if they're very short, but I can think of very, very few instances where the sample actually improves the track. CBT are amazing, but Jesus some of the samples are so, SO long (not to mention utterly pointless).

| long samples/intros are really annoying when you are trying to check out a band for the first time and keep flipping through songs hoping one will start right away just so you can hear them real quick to see if its something you will like. | |
